I was fortunate to meet Miles and that’s when my real journey to health and fitness began. Since that time, we have worked on all aspects of my health including food, exercise, sleep and stress...The results I have achieved have been amazing! In January 2016, less than one year from when we started, I reached my goal weight, losing 175 lbs overall. My body fat percentage has decreased by more than 50% and I have gone from a clothing size 28 to a size 8... When I first came to (the gym), I was suffering from back issues and in tremendous constant discomfort. I could not sit, stand or even lay down without discomfort. I had tried everything the medical community was throwing at me to find any relief. I was eventually prescribed very potent pain relief medication that left me feeling like a walking zombie. I was then placed on a waiting list to see a surgeon. I decided to join a gym with 3 goals in mind: build up my core strength, increase my flexibility and lose weight... On a recent visit to the surgeon, surgery was shelved because my condition had improved so dramatically. I asked the surgeon for any recommendations on what I should be doing, and he told me to keep doing what I have been doing, he said “your trainer knows you best”... Miles, I can’t thank you enough for keeping me motivated and helping me obtain my goals. When I started this journey, I was willing to have spine surgery, now I know with some sweat and time I can overcome my issues. I will keep doing all the things you have taught me. Before I started training with Miles, I had reservations that he wouldn’t listen to the needs of my body, and that he would make me do exercises at his pace, rather than at my pace. Within five minutes into my first session with Miles, I realised that these reservations were unfounded... My top goals when I started working with Miles included becoming more fit, losing inches around my waist, and dropping pounds. Since training with Miles, I have lost 4 inches around my waist and dropped 15 pounds, and I feel much more confident about my body now. My clothes fit better, which is a great feeling. Miles also helped me extensively with my nutrition plan and he empowered me to make better decisions when grocery shopping and preparing meals. In term of significant achievements since I started training with Miles, I used to hate doing squats, and now I look forward to doing them and with good form. I am able to do pull-ups with a band now, and am on my way to performing unassisted pull-ups. I am participating in a 5 km run at the end of August, something that I wouldn’t have considered doing before I started training with Miles.
